New Mission

Thank you to Nicola a.k.a. http://thejewellerygirl.blogspot.com/2010/01/blog-award-yay.html for my first blog award ;)
Being new to blogging and crafting this is a huge achievment for me, just reminds me that I must be doing something right because people are liking what I'm making and are reading my blog too ;)
This makes me very happy.
Although I now need to work out how to give out the award myself, I've only been pretending to know what I'm doing on this blog, but think it's time I finally sat down and actually learnt how to blog properly, I look at everyone else's stunning designs and witty blogs and am green with envy, so this is my new mission lol ;)

Finally Finished ;)

Well I have finally finished the commission I had off a relative who wanted me to match a rose with her shoes and then make a full set for a wedding she is attending soon.
After a few colour mixes and lots of fab advice off Emma Ralph http://www.ejrbeads.co.uk/ I have now finished. I am very pleased with the result, and so thankfully is my relative lol,
I know have the polymer clay bug and am itching to experiment loads more! Will have to wait for payday tho ;)

First Attempt

Hiya all,
I have been looking for some polymer clay roses to use in my jewellery designs, I have found cream and pink coloured ones but have failed to find any black ones, so I thought I would have a go at making my own!
I bought some black Fimo before christmas but have put off having a go but today decided to bite the bullett and have a go.
Here are my first 3 attempts

I'm really happy with these and can't wait to use them ;)

Saturday 2 January 2010

Hi All,
Happy New Year to you all ;)
I don't normally make new year resolutions but this year I have decided to make some,

the first is to make lots of lovely jewellery, including my plus size jewellery,

the second is to update my website www.begemmed.co.uk regularly, to start to promote it seriously,

thirdly to blog at least once a week,

and finally pluck up the courage to do some jewellery parties and maybe a craft fair ;)

I will keep you all informed as to how I'm doing sticking to them

x
